The exhibition in the Swiss Pavilion at the Biennale Architettura 2023 in Venice, curated by Karin Sander and Philip Ursprung, will deal with the topic of “neighbourhood”. It refers to the relation between the Swiss Pavilion by Bruno Giacometti (1952) and the adjacent Pavilion of Venezuela by Carlo Scarpa (1956). The seminar will present current research on Giacometti and Scarpa. The exhibition at the Swiss Pavilion is commissioned by the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia.
