The Roman God Vulcan, God of fire, volcans and metalwork has inspired the imagination since Antiquity. In view of an exhibition curated by Linda Schädler, Berit Seidel and Philip Ursprung at the Graphische Sammlung ETH Zürich, the lecture will discuss various issues, ranging from labor, geology, travel, and, of course, art and architecture.
